Plemmons Leadership Scholars

Application Criteria for Fall 2023 Cohort

• Confirmed admittance at Appalachian State University as a full-time first-year student beginning Fall 2023
• A minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA 
• Demonstrated interest in leadership, advocacy, activism, and/or community engagement
• Desire and motivation to advance positive social change on and around campus throughout one’s time at Appalachian State University

Application Process

• Review the Plemmons Leadership Scholars program requirements, description, and FAQs
• Attend a virtual information session in May 2023
  • Dates TBD
• Submit an application (Deadline TBD)
• If selected, participate in an interview with PLS program directors and current Scholars
  • Interviews will take place in June 2023 (Dates TBD)
  • When you fill out your application you will be prompted to select a few interview dates/times that you know will work for you. This will help us a great deal when matching you with our interview team. 
• Receive an invitation to join PLS and sign program agreement
